EPOXY RESIN

High Performance Epoxy Resin: P - EPOX - 2800 x 65 is unique “Epoxy Ether” resin developed by reacting alkyl phenol with bis- phenol epoxy resin & further modified to enhance the performance to protect the substrate in adverse climatic conditions.

Applications :

  • One pack air drying epoxy composition
  • Modification of standard two pack epoxy coatings
  • Two pack epoxy- PU hybrid coating
  • One pack stoving epoxy with blocked isocynates
  • One pack stoving epoxy coating with MF / UF / phenolic resins

Advantages :

I) One Pack Systems :

  • a) User friendly protective coatings for mechanically cleaned surfaces could be developed
  • b) Fast drying one pack epoxy systems against chlorinated rubber / vinyflex could be developed which gives excellent corrosion, acid & alkali resistance

II) Modification of Standard Epoxy Two Pack Coating (Modification up to 30% & Advantages against std. Two Pack Epoxy Systems) :

  • a. Cost reduction
  • b. Gives good acid, alkali & corrosion resistance
  • c.Improves surface wetting properties for maintenance primers/coatings
  • d. Higher workable pot life
  • e. Increases recoating interval incase of primers & mid coats
  • f. Better pigment dispersion & wetting during production

III) Two Pack Epoxy - PU Hybrid Coating

Curing Properties :

Handling & Storage :
Handling: Avoid use of electric band heater or application of direct flame to container. It can cause explosion & fire.

Storage: Good general ventilation should be sufficient for most conditions. Local exhaust ventilation may be necessary for some operations.

It is a low viscosity Novolac Epoxy resin based on Bisphenol A and alkyl phenol.

Storage & Stability :

Paladin PEPOX – 2480 X 75 has storage stability of 1 year provided, it is stored in tightly closed container to avoid contamination & stored in cool & dry place.

Handling & Storage :

May be harmful if ingested or absorbed through the skin & can cause sensitization. Will cause severe inflammation in contact with eye & skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Adequate ventilation is essential during application. Containers should be tightly closed when not in use or during transportation. Do not inhale mist or vapors. It is recommended to use gloves, safety glasses & protective clothing for safe handling.

First AID :

In case of
Inhalation :
Remove to fresh air & give oxygen if breathing is difficult
Ingestion : Give plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Contact a physician
Contact with Eyes : Flush eyes with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes
Contact with skin : Immediately wash with mild soap & water
